WR TECHNOLOGY: WATER RESIN
WINNING PERFORMANCE AND UNEQUALLED RELIABILTIY
COLMIC is the avant-garde in the production of superior quality rods for competition and angling.
WR Technology is the application of 3 fundamental new concepts in the production process:
WATER RESIN is the resin around which the concept of WR technology has been developed.
This component is characterised by WATER-like FLUIDITY, hence the name WATER RESIN, which allows it to penetrate into the carbon weave to give the section compactness and strength by eliminating the air bubbles that act as points of weakness.
CARBON FABRIC STRUCTURE is the arrangement of carbon fibres designed to allow the water resin to soak in even further by implementing the quality of the assembly process.
CUSTOM OVEN PROCESS is the firing process designed in relation to the characteristics of the materials and resins used. The
section firing times and methods are optimised in relation to the specific features of the various rod sections on which the WR method is used.
WR technology means revolutionising the production system of our flagship product to achieve WINNING PERFORMANCE AND UNEQUALLED RELIABILITY. These rods are not only lighter and more balanced, but also more reliable and robust.
The care and study of production processes are the result of decades of experience in producing fishing rods. Colmic combines this know-how with cutting-edge research.
WR TECHNOLOGY, SUPERIOR QUALITY.
EVO: EVOLUTION EXPERIENCE
The studies on the use of resins other than the typical ones were carried out in 2023 in the WR Technology project, which led to outstanding results that were universally recognised. Initially, we only worked on the basic parts, not only out of caution, but also because we needed your feedback.
This year with the WR EVO project, with the support of further tests, we have mainly worked on the percentage of WR Resin, again decreasing the quantity to the benefit of the raw material: carbon.
This had led to improvements in terms of yield and performance (more rigidity and responsiveness) and made each tool even more reliable. WR technology has also been used for the kits; therefore, all our top roubaisienne rods can benefit from this great
innovation. The new WR kits are not only part of the 13-metre barrel body, but are also supplied in the equipment of the various packs. Each roubaisienne has a serial number on the base section, as do all kits.

S31 UNLIMITED
S31 UNLIMITED is this year’s pinnacle of design and commitment. This new evolutionary technology has enabled us to break down our limitations once again and make the use of the equipment even more comfortable in the dynamic phase.
The concept of versatility, which we hold so dear, has not been affected in any way, although there has been a clear improvement in the balance and therefore handling in all the pole.
TECH TUBE
TECH TUBE CARBON is a material with unimaginable characteristics.
The difficulty of applying this very thin material to the steel spindle did not deter us and the results are spectacular. We have made every fisherman's dream come true with our rod that is lighter, more resistant to breakage and yet more rigid at the same time.
With Tech Tube Carbon, we can reduce the weight of the sections by up to 15% compared to current carbon, increase rigidity by 5% to 10% and increase reliability by 10%.
JOINT LINE
Colmic Joint Line è un sistema di riferimento che permette di allineare le sezioni sull’asse di maggiore rigidità. Questo sistema è di particolare importanza sulle RBS dove la rigidità è di primaria importanza.Con il Joint Line si aumenta la rigidità del 12%.
TITANIUM JOINT
Alla base di tutte le sezioni sono state applicate delle lamine in titanio per aumentarne la resistenza in compressione. Titanium Joint rende ogni sezione più robusta senza aggiungere pesi in eccesso.
U.L.A.F. Pro Force Carbon
La continua ricerca da parte dei tecnici COLMIC di materiali innovativi in collaborazione con gli ingegneri della più importante azienda giapponese hanno dato vita ad una innovativa stratificazione di tessuto di carbonio super alto modulo caratterizzato da una resistenza alla compressione ed alla trazione di gran lunga superiore rispetto al carbonio alto modulo tradizionale. U.L.A.F. PRO FORCE è un particolare processo di stratificazione che crea una sottilissima membrana (o lamina) di carbonio composta da fibre orientate in tre direzioni. Lo speciale orientamento e l’esclusiva resina Filler Inside ad alta densità, già impiegata per l’impregnazione del carbonio U.L.A.F. donano una elasticità superiore, riducendo il peso che fino ad oggi era necessario per aumentare la capacità di assorbire urti.
LCAH
Questa sigla sta’ ad evidenziare la particolare forma della parte terminale dell’attrezzo: infatti l’impugnatura è stata disegnata appositamente per una presa ancora più rapida, intuitiva ed ergonomica. Altro elemento importante di questa innovazione, è il perfetto collegamento tra parte verniciata e parte in neoprene senza nessuna variazione di diametro, caratteristica che rende ancor più ottimale la presa in generale. La qualità è fatta anche di piccoli particolari….noi di COLMIC lo sappiamo!
PERFORMANCE SECTIONS
La Performance Section è studiata per ottenere il massimo del sopra base della roubaisienne sia a 13.00 mt che a 11.50 mt. Utilizzo dei migliori materiali senza influire su di essi con passaggi di levigatura, verniciatura ed etichettatura, che forse migliorano l’estetica ma ne peggiorano notevolemente il rendimento in pesca (le fasi sopracitate aumento il peso della sezione di circa 30 gr che penalizzano la rigidità e le prestazioni della sezione stessa).
MULTI BUTT
Le Multi Butt sono sicuramente un attrezzo di grande utilità. In una canna a 13.00 mt la Multi Butt specifica servirà non solo come base a 13.00 mt, ma potrà essere utilizzata anche come base a 11.50 mt, e con migliori prestazioni. La Multi Butt per la 11.5 0mt potrà essere ugualmente utilizzata anche come base a 10 mt. Questo particolare accorgimento, ci consentirà in primo luogo di ottenere una roubaisienne con prestazioni elevatissime e ci darà quella sicurezza che non avremo mai pescando direttamente con il sopra-base.
EVA CONE
Tutte le mini prolunghe sono dotate di protezioni in Neoprene da entrambe le estremità. Queste protezioni consentono di velocizzare le operazione di innesto e disinnesto delle sezioni, di prevenire rotture accidentali e smussare il profilo dell’innesto delle Mini Butt con eliminazione del profilo a taglio.
REINFORCED AREA
Si trova su tutte le seconde sezioni che supportano i filler tip e su tutte le 3° sezioni match. L’area rinforzata serve per creare un foro, senza danneggiare la sezione, dove si può applicare lo stripper.
MINI BUTT
Sono delle mini estensioni di altissima qualità che garantiscono un’impugnatura in assoluta sicurezza, studiate per essere usate su tutti gli elementi delle roubaisienne a partire dalla 4 sezione. Raccomandiamo il pescatore di usare le mini butt per evitare spiacevoli rotture delle sezioni.

K SERIES
Serie K “tangle free“, è un anello di ultima generazione studiato appositamente per l’utilizzo di lenze sottili evitando le rotture sugli anelli. La sua forma così aereodinamica ed accattivante, è stata pensata per limitare al massimo i grovigli che la lenza o il braided sono soggetti a creare durante la loro fuoriuscita ad altissima velocità. In questo modo sarà possibile utilizzare lenze sempre più sottili aumentando la gittata dei lanci. La pietra in SIC quasi indistruttibile, garantisce un perfetto funzionamento per lunghissimo tempo dell’anello, inoltre la struttura è particolarmente resistente alla salsedine ed alla corrosione.

MN SERIES
MN Series è uno degli storici anelli studiati per il mare e per il lancio. Permette una fuoriuscita del filo molto fluida, garantendo ottime gittate e pochissimi imparruccamenti. La sua pietra in SIC dona al filo utilizzato una vita media molto più lunga di altre tipologie di anelli, inoltre la struttura dell’anello è molto resistente alla salsedine e alla corrosione aumentandone così la durata nel tempo.
