BOLOGNESE DNA is the new format from Colmic, designed for all Bolognese fishing enthusiasts who want to go beyond the simple act of fishing. This project explores the roots of the Bolognese rod, its DNA: reading the water, choosing the right conditions, correct setups, managing the flow, and interpreting the sea or river.
In this new video, we take you to the Livorno coast, along with Jacopo Falsini and Mauro Mazzini, for a Bolognese fishing session in one of the most fascinating and profitable conditions: the sacca d'acqua (literally, "falling water"). After a storm, when the sea slowly begins to calm, something special happens. The water remains cloudy, the seabed churns, natural food is released... and the fish become more active, more confident, and more present near the shore. This is the moment when the Bolognese rod expresses its full potential: controlled passes, precise setups, decisive touches, and a succession of catches. The sacca d'acqua (literally, "falling water") does not forgive mistakes, but rewards those who know how to read the sea. Combining technique, experience, and sensitivity, Jacopo and Mauro show us why fishing in these conditions can truly make a difference. A video filled with the scent of salt, adrenaline, and true passion.
