Back on board with Maurizio Pastacaldi and Simone Masetti for a new Salt Water Mania adventure! This time we’re following them once again in the waters off Piombino for a squid fishing session made particularly difficult by the sea and weather conditions. 🌊 Rough seas, a strong current and very low cephalopod activity complicate the fishing from the very start, forcing Maurizio and Simone to constantly assess the situation and adapt their technique and tackle. With the waters still warm, however, the decisive moment comes at sunset, when the first bites finally start to appear and the squid’s activity increases. Amidst challenging conditions, the search for fish and changes in strategy, Maurizio and Simone share, as always, details about the lines, lures and equipment used.
