BOLOGNESE DNA | SCADUTA A CALAFURIA | EP.1 – COLMIC

The new Oceanias are specialised rods that differ markedly, in terms of form and intended use, from all other three-section rods designed specifically for pure surf casting.
Constructed entirely using Pro Force technology and X-Carbon reinforcement with crossed coils, the Oceanias are characterised by a longer than normal length (5.00 m) and a casting that reaches up to 400 g, with a lift-up of several kilograms.
These characteristics are specifically designed to meet the demands of many Tunisian and Algerian anglers who, for their fishing sessions from the reef, need long and powerful rods, which are capable of countering the defences of large prey and equally well suited to keeping them as far away from the reefs as possible.
These are obviously large rods in all respects, but they are also the only ones capable of coping with situations such as those described above, including catching heavy fish with large diameter terminals and oversized rigs.
All versions of the Oceania are nevertheless gear that can also find a place on our coasts and prove to be extremely efficient for live bait fishing (from the beach, breakwaters or rocks) and for all rock fishing techniques in general, when it comes to dealing with prey and borderline situations.
The distinctive length, tubular tip and stiff but progressive action in the dynamic phase are also of great help when casting in confined spaces (such as reefs) with the weight suspended and rod behind the head (above side).
Based on what has been
described, we can safely say that these rods have absolutely no rivals capable
of competing alongside them, and that the OCEANIA
F9 in particular is the most manageable in terms of both weight and
balance: in short, despite its extreme nature, it is the one that is best
suited to all physical forms.
