A new way to improve pole action

This year we have taken a very specific direction: improving our poles by analysing every aspect that can make a real difference in terms of stiffness, lightness, handling and performance.

As part of this development, particular attention has been dedicated to the Power Kit Combat, starting from a concept that is as simple as it is important: the length of a kit always affects the behaviour and action of the pole.

A shorter Power Kit does not simply mean having fewer centimetres, but also having a lighter, stiffer and higher-performing component, with improvements that, depending on the configuration, can reach 20%! And speaking directly to competition anglers, we would like to point out that during a competition it is not always really necessary to reach 11.50 or 13.00 metres.

This is especially true in short-range fishing situations or on commercial fisheries, where fishing at 13 metres or a few dozen centimetres shorter often makes no real difference in terms of effective fishing distance.

In these situations, our invitation is very simple: try the new Power Kit Combat! Based on our tests, we found that even when fitting these kits to more “honest” poles in terms of materials and price range, the result was, in many cases, truly surprising: the feeling is that of fishing with a completely different tool, much more responsive, stiffer, lighter and higher-performing, to the point of bringing its behaviour close to that of a top-of-the-range pole.

Because, ultimately, the difference is not determined only by the pole we use, but also by all the components that can influence the way that pole behaves while fishing.

And it is precisely from this philosophy that the new Colmic Power Kit Combat were born: less weight, greater stiffness, more precision and a noticeably improved response from the pole.

The Combat Power Kit series consists of short-section power kits designed for all roubaisienne poles equipped with EC and K series kits.

The range includes three versions that cover every competition requirement, allowing the use of hollow elastics from 2.5 to 4.5 mm.

Compared to a standard-length power kit, the three Combat Power Kits are noticeably stiffer and more robust.

They differ in weight, exit hole diameter and stiffness, while maintaining the same outstanding level of reliability.
