BOLOGNESE DNA – I CAVEDANI DEL CASENTINO | JACOPO FALSINI
Bentornati in un nuovo episodio di Bolognese DNA! Oggi, insieme a Jacopo Falsini e ai nostri amici francesi Gérard e Sebastién, proveremo a catturare alcuni degli astuti e diffidenti cavedani che popolano le acque del Casentino.
🎣 A guidarci sarà Adriano Sestini, pescatore della zona e grande esperto di questi ciprinidi.
Si dice che li conosca addirittura per nome… e dopo averlo visto pescare, non è difficile crederlo! La pesca al cavedano richiede terminali estremamente sottili, presentazioni naturali e un’attrezzatura capace di proteggere i fili più delicati.
Allo stesso tempo, la canna deve possedere la giusta riserva di potenza per assorbire le violente testate e contrastare le improvvise ripartenze del pesce.

Welcome back to a new episode of Bolognese DNA! Today, together with Jacopo Falsini and our French friends Gérard and Sebastién, we’ll be trying to catch some of the cunning and wary chub that inhabit the waters of the Casentino.
🎣 Leading the way will be Adriano Sestini, a local angler and a great expert on these cyprinids.
It’s said he even knows them by name… and having watched him fish, it’s not hard to believe! Chub fishing requires extremely fine leaders, natural presentations and tackle capable of protecting the most delicate lines.
At the same time, the rod must have the right reserve of power to absorb the violent headshakes and counter the fish’s sudden bursts of speed.
